Comparative and interdisciplinary dimension of the research

CONSENT is designed around a multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary approach to fact-finding and problem-solving. In order properly to examine emerging societal trends evident in on-line ecosystems, the CONSENT team brings together specialists from the  following disciplines:
  • Consumer psychology
  • Marketing communications
  • Applied Information & Communications Technology (ICT)
  • Sociology
  • Economics
  • Evaluation techniques
  • Project Management
  • ICT Law (including privacy and data protection law, spam and cybercrime)
  • Consumer Protection Law
  • Intellectual property & Contract Law

In this multi-disciplinary approach, over 30 specialists from more than 20 nationalities based within 19 European institutional partners shall work together to provide a carefully-designed and integrated approach to the various dimensions of an intricate set of issues. Their efforts would be complemented by at least ten other specialists sub-contracted within 12 other EU states.
